As shown in the picture, the mini sword has a coarse surface. As-built surface finish roughness on SLM parts can range from 200-400 碌in Ra, and through post-process CNC machining, a surface finish of 63 碌in Ra is possible.

Solution

• Step 1: Prepare the aluminum alloy powders, heat the printer chamber to correct temperature, then the laser touches the area as the set route.
• Step 2: Break the thin supports with pliers, cut the thick supports with wire cutting. Polish to remove the bumps.
