About Project
A designer wanted to custom a shaped lamp for his son as a present. The lampstand and head are both in the shape of a monster paw so that it looks like stably standing on the ground and tightly hold the bulb. The long and curving strut of the lamp is simulating Loch Ness Monster. She designed it based on her son's favorite epic fantasy novels. We adopted SLS printing technology with the filament Nylon to assure its strength.
Solution
- Step 1: 3D modeling according to the customer's blueprint.
- Step 2: SLS 3D printing the lamp shell with Nylon.
- Step 3: Post-processing like sanding, polishing, and painting.
- Step 4: Assembling the bulb and wire into the shell.
